Code of Conduct & Terms of Service
“PowsUp!” is a nonprofit association run by volunteers whose purpose is to promote and spread knowledge of the international community focused on the representation of anthropomorphic animals, known as the "Furry Fandom", through promotional and informational initiatives on the subject and the organization of meetups and events. The group’s activities are mainly carried out in physical venues and shared online, using various communication channels such as the online community, the website, and social media pages.
The association is not for profit, every participating member, volunteer, or administrator voluntarily invests time taken away from their respective jobs and their free time.
This Code of Conduct & Terms of Service applies to private events and meetups.
Conditions of participation
Participation in an event takes place through payment of the required fee, if any. Art. 59, paragraph 1, section n of the Italian Consumer Code excludes the right to a refund, therefore, it will not be possible to refund the fee paid for the event.
Admission to private events is only possible for people who have already reached the age of majority on the day of the event, and who are duly registered as members of the association; for events held in public places, no minimum participation age is indicated and membership of the association is not required, unless otherwise specified.
Those who have already been permanently removed from the PowsUp! community or who are subject to measures preventing them from taking part in events, will not be allowed to participate.
Admission ticket is nominative and transferable to third parties, upon written request to events@powsup.net, up until the day registrations for the event close.
If, due to force majeure or the unavailability of the organizers, collaborators, or the venue, the event must be canceled, all costs not yet incurred for its organization will be refunded.
Alcohol, drugs, and weapons
It is strictly forbidden to bring in drugs, or explosives, or to hand over medicines that require a medical prescription.
Alcohol abuse is not allowed; the Staff, at their own discretion, reserve the right to stop serving alcohol or to order the person’s removal.
The Staff reserves the right to order the removal of any individual who is visibly intoxicated or impaired.
Bringing in bladed weapons, firearms, or objects with offensive capability is forbidden. Carrying replicas for aesthetic purposes is only possible if their harmlessness is evident and has been assessed by a Staff member. If the object is deemed potentially dangerous, you will have the option to dispose of it or not to attend the event.
Code of Conduct
“No means no”: harassment, whether physical, verbal, or psychological, is not tolerated. Failure to comply with this rule will result in immediate removal from the event.
Unless otherwise specified, the event is always to be considered strictly “Safe For Work”, therefore suggestive or explicit objects or behavior will not be allowed.
You are directly responsible for your personal belongings; abandoning or neglecting them is entirely at the owner’s own risk. An area may be set aside for storing personal items, but responsibility remains with the owner.
You are required to always maintain a civil and respectful tone toward other people and the Staff.
You are required to always follow the rules of the spaces or premises of private events, including in their vicinity. This includes, but is not limited to:
not smoking or vaping inside enclosed spaces;

not entering areas closed to the public or reserved for the Staff;
not making noise during quiet hours at events or meetups;
not violating specific rules of the event’s spaces or premises.
Any damage to persons or property is the civil and criminal responsibility of the person who caused it.
You are required to maintain an adequate standard of personal hygiene.
The above Terms of Service and Code of Conduct are not above Italian Law; in the event of serious incidents, the intervention of law enforcement will be requested.
